This project aims to contribute to the further development of intersectoral approaches by formulating empirically-grounded hypotheses and identifying the central elements of this research agenda through an analysis of the actor constellations, subjects of conflict and process dynamics in two case studies in sub-Saharan Africa. In doing so it focuses on the area of contemporary conflicts over mining.
